You can use Monolith to easily keep track of your collections or to introduce things you like with others, and enjoy sharing information in a whole new way.
After you install Hatena Monolith for your iPhone 3GS or Android device, you'll be able to scan barcodes and share your stuff on the web. You can also simultaneously post your Monolith entries to Twitter.
- Introduce your stuff and post it directly to Twitter
- Post and share your collections

Get started with Monolith
Install the application
To get started scanning barcodes, please install the Monolith application on your smartphone.
Scan your item
When you first open the application you will be prompted for your Hatena user information. After you have entered your login details, push the "Scan" button to start scanning barcodes from books, CD's, drinks or any other items with barcodes that are around you.
If you are having trouble scanning the barcode, try adjusting the angle of the barcode, or changing the distance from the barcode to the camera lens.
If you don't yet have a Hatena ID, you'll need to complete User registration (free) before you begin.
Enter comments and pictures
After you have finished scanning your item, you can then add comments or photos to your entry.
You can post the items that you upload to Hatena Monolith directly to Twitter by accessing "Settings" from the application, then push "Twitter connection settings" and enable "Post to Twitter".
Complete!
Your entry will be posted after you push the "Post" button, and you'll be ready to get started sharing your stuff on Monolith.
You can post your Monolith entries to Twitter to share the things you like with others, or catalog your collections, and keep track of all of the stuff in your life.
